Hopefully you have all had an enjoyable Christmas break and your children are rested and prepared for a busy term. We have a lot of learning to pack in to five short weeks including a visit from 'History off the Page' towards the end of January. A letter will be sent out to you shortly with more information about this.
Next week, please look out for a note in your child's reading record to inform you of the day that their reading books will be changed. You may find that it is the same but I have mixed up the guided reading groups for this term to give the class the opportunity to work with different children.
Please can I remind everyone about sending in water bottles for your children to drink from during the school day. Please could you also check that your child's school uniform is clearly labelled with their name. We accumulated an incredible amount of lost property towards the end of last term and as I am sure you can appreciate, it is very difficult to return lost items with no name.
This term, because the weather is so unpredictable, I have suggested to the class that they bring in wellies (or something similar) to wear during break times and at lunch. It is very muddy and wet out in the KS1 play area and we are trying to reduce the amount of mud walked in to the school building. Please make sure if you do send in footwear, that they are in a clearly labelled bag.
Have a lovely weekend!
